A December Eurostat survey reveals that Luxembourg is ranked third in the highest proportion of e-buyers, behind the UK and Denmark.
Roughly 78 percent of Internet users in Luxembourg shop online, compared with 81 percent in the UK and 79 percent in Denmark.
The highest share of online shoppers at the EU level is the 25-34 age group. In most member states, the share of Internet users in the younger age group (16-24) who had made a purchase online in 2015 was above 50 percent. While this was not the same case for the higher age group (65-74), the proportion was above in a few countries, including Luxembourg at 69 percent.
