Why Luxembourg?

Luxembourg, a powerful and historic financial center, is a founding member of the European Union and is part of the Eurozone. It is situated at the heart of several major European markets; in fact, 60% of the EU’s GDP can be reached by a one-hour flight. Trade with other EU member states benefits from Luxembourg’s strategic location in the EU, its proximity to other European capital cities and major business centers and the presence of numerous European institutions. Luxembourg also has developed international trading relations with the Americas, Asia and the
Middle East, which have contributed to the diversification of its export markets and the origins of its imports.

From its origins as a Euroloan center, the country subsequently developed as a private banking center and then, from the 1980s, as a leading domicile for investment funds. A series of niche activities were added over the course of the last twenty years and today Luxembourg as a financial center is broadly diversified.
Today, Luxembourg is the first private banking center in the Eurozone and the second-largest fund center in the world. Due
to its stability as well as its innovative and international orientation, the Luxembourg financial center is an ideal hub for private and institutional investors from all over the world.

The Luxembourg financial center is characterized by a strong culture of investor protection and rigorous anti-money-laundering policies. Its specialist teams are multilingual with a long tradition of financial expertise and extensive knowledge of the needs of an international clientele.

As a leading financial center specialized in global and European cross-border activities, the country has a well-developed legal and regulatory framework for international trade and is highly  responsive to EU legislation. Many companies also find that  Luxembourg’s commercial and political neutrality facilitates
their international business relationships.

A. Les axes de développement prioritaires L’année 2016 a été ponctuée par les échanges entre les plateformes de travail pour planifier, structurer et mettre en œuvre les projets éducatifs, les projets législatifs et les projets de synergies entre les institutions de l’éducation formelle et non-formelle.

Plus de 90 projets et 25 programmes sont d’actualité et visent à concrétiser les axes de développement de la politique éducative. Soucieux d’agir avec tous les partenaires afin d’assurer la qualité de l’éducation dès le plus jeune âge, le ministère de l’Éducation nationale, de l’Enfance et de la Jeunesse œuvre dans l’esprit et le respect de la Convention relative aux droits de l’enfant et poursuit son ambition d’aider chaque jeune à trouver sa voie de réussite et construire son avenir.

Pour ce numéro de rentrée, j’ai opté pour un sujet important et marquant : comment vivre avec un cancer ? Chaque année, environ 2 400 femmes et hommes sont diagnostiqués avec un cancer. Mon équipe et moi-même œuvrons constamment afin de répondre au mieux à ces personnes tout au long de leur parcours. Du diagnostic à la rémission en passant par l’amélioration du quotidien, ces sujets sont abordés sans tabou dans cette édition. Et très prochainement la version exhaustive sera publiée sous forme d’une brochure.
