There are 8 tools that you can use, Flashcards, Quiz Show, Spelling Words, MadLibs, Random Name Picker, Badge Tracker, Progress Indicator and Certificate Quiz. Each tool has a link to a demo page so you can see it in action, and a link to the instructions for the tool. In a nutshell, each tool has a Google Sheets template that you will make a copy of, and then fill in with the information required for the tool.

Ideana on, että kopioidaan Google sheet-taulukko ja siihen muutetaan sisältöä. Siinä on muutama temppu, joka on tehtävä oikein. Siihen voi itse kirjoittaa suoraan, se on hidasta, mutta sillä tavalla voi opetella. Free Technology-edublogissa on ollut ohjeita, ainakin vastaavia, mutta en ole niihin perehtynyt. Teen myöhemmin yksityiskohtaiset ohjeet suomeksi.

Opettelin laatimaan Flippity-harjoituksia. On siinä ohjeet, mutta ei se niin helppoa ollut.

Julkaisin uudelleen jutun, joka kertoo tehtävägeneraattorista, jolla voi sekoittaa sanalistoissa kirjaimia. Tehtävänä on keksiä, mistä sanasta on kyse. Pitkät sanat ovat melko vaikeita, mutta lyhyet sekoitetut sanat ovat ihan hyviä harjoituksia. Olin jutussa pohtinut tapaa poimia lyhyitä sanoja. Nyt tällä tiedolla keksin jopa kaksi menetelmää. Toinen on poimia lyhyitä sanoja Kielitoimiston sanakirjasta vaikka ????-haulla. Sinne voi sekaan laittaa myös kirjaimia.

Toinen tapa on käyttää olemassaolevia listoja ja lajitella Text Mechanicin sorteeraustyökalulla, jossa sanat voi laittaa järjestykseen kirjainten määrän perusteella. Tarvitsee vain poimia hiirellä maalaamalla tällä tavalla lajitellusta listasta lyhyimmät sanat. Näytti kuitenkin siltä, että sanalistat pitää ääkkösten muuttaa ANSI-koodatuiksi, minulla on yleensä UTF-8 -koodattuja, mutta sen voi helposti tehdä Muistiossa.

Text Mechanicilla voi mistä tahansa tekstistä poimia sanat alekkaiseksi listaksi, mutta ainakin minulla on paljon erilaisia listoja vaikkapa frekvenssisanoista.
