ISTE Infographic: Ready, set, blend! | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it
The basic cognitive skills needed by previous generations are no longer enough. Students in the conceptual age must also master the higher levels of Bloom’s Taxonomy and Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, including creation, metacognition and self-actualization.

“It will require an upgrade to our curriculum, new instructional methods and materials, a new profile of a global graduate and an open mind,” say Smith, Chavez and Seaman.

For ideas about how to re-create your classroom for the conceptual age, including potential classroom setups, blended learning models to mix and match, and a curriculum design process, take a look at the infographic

Blended Learning Unit: Français 2: À La Maison by Ellen Onsrud

Blended Learning Unit: Français 2: À La Maison by Ellen Onsrud | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it

Bonjour!  Welcome to my French 2 unit,  À la maison.  This unit was created for my face-to-face French 2 class and adapted for the virtual classroom as part of my Assessment in E-Learning course through the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

As you read through this unit, you will find the demographic information for my current teaching position at Lake Mills High School, as well as the course content and description for my face-to-face class.  While the learning objectives remain the same, the delivery, as seen in the Unit Overview and the Learning Objectives, utilizes assessments that will be used in a virtual classroom

Today's post covers some interesting ideas and tips on how to go about using Google Drive in your classroom. This work is created by Sean Junkins from SeansDesk.

Blended Course Design Workbook: A practical guide

Blended Course Design Workbook: A practical guide | Education 2.0 & 3.0 | Scoop.it
Blended (also called hybrid) classrooms, in which face-to-face interaction is intentionally combined with online activities to aid student learning, are becoming more and more common. By moving content delivery such as lecture to outside-of-class homework using technology tools such as video or lecture capture, more time can be gained for active learning in-class. Moreover, the blended model is proving to be an environment that provides more self-directed, technology-mediated learning experiences for students who will be incorporating technology more and more into their professional lives post-college.
